'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden significant achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would definitely consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
